Summary
We are seeking a skilled SAP BW/4HANA Consultant to join our data analytics and business intelligence team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing SAP BW/4HANA solutions to support enterprise data warehousing and analytics requirements. This role requires deep expertise in SAP’s next-generation data warehouse platform and the ability to transform complex business requirements into scalable analytics solutions.
Roles & Responsibilities
Implementation & Architecture
– Lead end-to-end SAP BW/4HANA implementation projects from requirements gathering to production deployment
– Design and architect data warehouse solutions using SAP BW/4HANA including data modeling, ETL processes, and reporting layers
– Migrate existing SAP BW systems to BW/4HANA platform, ensuring data integrity and performance optimization
– Design and implement Advanced DataStore Objects (ADSO), CompositeProviders, and Open ODS Views
– Configure and optimize SAP HANA calculation views and stored procedures for complex analytical requirements
– Integrate BW/4HANA with SAP S/4HANA, SAP Analytics Cloud, and other enterprise systems
Data Modeling & ETL Development
– Create conceptual, logical, and physical data models aligned with business requirements
– Design and develop complex data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes
– Implement real-time data replication and delta loading mechanisms
– Optimize data flows and transformations for performance and scalability
– Design and maintain master data management processes and hierarchies
– Create and manage data governance frameworks and data quality monitoring
Analytics & Reporting
– Develop advanced analytics solutions using SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) and other BI tools
– Create interactive dashboards, reports, and data visualizations for business stakeholders
– Implement predictive analytics and machine learning models within the BW/4HANA environment
– Design and configure planning and forecasting applications
– Optimize query performance and implement advanced aggregation strategies
Technical Leadership
– Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior consultants and developers
– Collaborate with technical architects on system integration and performance optimization
– Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to development best practices
– Troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide resolution strategies
– Stay current with SAP BW/4HANA innovations and emerging technologies
Required Skills & Qualifications
– Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related technical field
– Minimum 6+ years of hands-on experience with SAP BW systems
– At least 3+ years of specific experience with SAP BW/4HANA implementations
– Minimum 2 full lifecycle BW/4HANA implementation projects
– Strong background in data warehousing concepts and dimensional modeling
– Expert-level knowledge of SAP BW/4HANA architecture, components, and functionalities
– Proficiency in SAP HANA database technologies including calculation views, stored procedures, and SQL Script
– Strong experience with Advanced DataStore Objects (ADSO), CompositeProviders, and Open ODS Views
– Hands-on experience with SAP Data Services, SAP Landscape Transformation (SLT), and other ETL tools
– Knowledge of SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) for reporting and analytics
– Experience with SAP S/4HANA integration and real-time data processing
– Understanding of SAP HANA modeling and optimization techniques
