Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Midwife to join our healthcare team in providing safe, respectful, and high-quality care for women throughout pregnancy, childbirth, and the postnatal period. The ideal candidate will be experienced in managing normal pregnancies, promoting natural births, and providing education and emotional support to expectant mothers and their families.
Roles & Responsibilities
– Conduct prenatal check-ups, monitor fetal development, and assess maternal health.
– Assist and manage labor and delivery, ensuring safety and comfort for the mother.
– Provide postnatal care, including newborn assessments and breastfeeding support.
– Offer education on pregnancy, childbirth, newborn care, and reproductive health.
– Identify high-risk pregnancies and collaborate with obstetricians or other specialists.
– Maintain accurate medical records and ensure documentation of care.
– Support the emotional and psychological well-being of women and their families.
– Promote and implement evidence-based practices and infection control standards.
– Educate and counsel on family planning and contraceptive options.
– Participate in antenatal classes and community outreach when required.
Required Skills & Qualifications
– Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills

Qualifications:
– Diploma or Degree in Midwifery from a recognized institution
– Registered Midwife License (according to local or national regulations)
– Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation (NRP) is preferred
– Clinical experience in maternity or obstetric care (as required by the role)
– Continuing education in maternal-child health is an advantage
