Roles & Responsibilities
Cloud Infrastructure & Architecture
Design and implement scalable AWS infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation)
Architect multi-environment cloud solutions (dev, staging, production) with proper governance
Optimize cloud costs and performance through right-sizing and automated resource management
Implement disaster recovery and high availability solutions
CI/CD & Automation
Build and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines using AWS CodePipeline, Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions
Automate deployment processes for microservices and containerized applications
Implement automated testing, security scanning, and quality gates
Design and maintain deployment strategies (blue-green, canary, rolling deployments)
Container Orchestration & Microservices
Manage containerized applications using Docker, Amazon ECS, and Amazon EKS
Implement service mesh architectures and API gateways
Design auto-scaling solutions for dynamic workloads
Optimize container performance and resource utilization
Monitoring & Observability
Implement comprehensive monitoring using CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK stack
Design alerting strategies and incident response procedures
Create dashboards and metrics for application and infrastructure health
Conduct post-incident reviews and implement improvements
Security & Compliance
Implement security best practices using AWS security services (IAM, GuardDuty, Security Hub)
Manage secrets and configuration using AWS Secrets Manager and Parameter Store
Ensure compliance with industry standards and organizational policies
Implement network security and access controls
Collaboration & Innovation
Partner with development teams to optimize application deployment and performance
Mentor team members on DevOps practices and cloud technologies
Participate in architecture reviews and technical decision-making
Drive continuous improvement initiatives and adoption of new technologies
Required Skills & Qualifications
– 4+ years of hands-on AWS experience with core services (EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, Lambda)
– Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred, CloudFormation)
– Proficiency in CI/CD pipeline design and implementation
– Experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes, ECS)
– Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash, PowerShell)
– Knowledge of version control systems (Git) and branching strategies
– Experience with monitoring and logging tools
– Understanding of networking concepts and AWS networking services
– Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
