Summary
We are seeking an experienced SAP WM/EWM Consultant to join our team and lead warehouse management system implementations and optimizations. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in SAP Warehouse Management (WM) and Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) modules, with a strong understanding of supply chain and logistics processes.
Roles & Responsibilities
Implementation & Configuration
– Lead end-to-end SAP WM/EWM implementation projects from business requirements gathering to go-live support
– Configure SAP WM/EWM modules including warehouse structure, storage types, storage sections, and picking strategies
– Design and implement warehouse layouts, storage bin management, and inventory management processes
– Configure advanced WM/EWM functionalities including wave management, labor management, and yard management
– Integrate WM/EWM with other SAP modules (MM, SD, PP, QM) and external systems
Business Process Optimization
– Analyze current warehouse operations and identify opportunities for process improvements
– Design optimal warehouse workflows including inbound, outbound, and internal warehouse processes
– Implement best practices for inventory management, stock transfers, and cycle counting
– Configure picking strategies, put-away strategies, and replenishment processes
– Optimize warehouse resource utilization and operational efficiency
Technical Expertise
– Develop and maintain master data including material masters, warehouse-specific configurations, and storage type definitions
– Create and customize reports, interfaces, and data migration programs
– Perform system testing including unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing
– Troubleshoot system issues and provide technical support for WM/EWM functionalities
– Collaborate with technical teams on custom developments and enhancements
Project Management & Stakeholder Engagement
– Lead cross-functional project teams and coordinate with business stakeholders
– Conduct workshops and training sessions for end users and key stakeholders
– Prepare comprehensive functional specifications and technical documentation
– Manage project timelines, deliverables, and resource allocation
– Provide post-implementation support and continuous improvement initiatives
Required Skills & Qualifications
– Expert-level knowledge of SAP WM/EWM configuration and functionality
– Experience with SAP ECC and S/4HANA environments
– Proficiency in warehouse processes including goods receipt, put-away, picking, packing, and shipping
– Knowledge of RF/mobile device integration and barcode scanning technologies
– Understanding of EDI transactions and warehouse automation systems
– Experience with SAP integration technologies (IDocs, RFCs, web services)
– Experience with SAP Fiori applications for warehouse operations
– Knowledge of SAP Cloud Platform Integration (CPI)
– Understanding of machine learning and AI applications in warehouse management
– Experience with performance tuning and system optimization
– Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field
– Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience with SAP WM/EWM implementations
– At least 3 full lifecycle SAP WM/EWM implementation projects
– Strong understanding of warehouse management principles and supply chain processes
